About the event
Calling all young learners (10 and up) and their families to explore the life of Florence Nightingale, the pioneer of modern nursing. Join us in an interactive free event that combines story telling, history intrigue and a fun math activity to learn how Nightingale's statistical work saved many lives.
For before the event, we encourage the reading of either of the following books from your local library:
- Florence Nightingale: The Courageous Life of the Legendary Nurse. By Catherine Reef. 12 years and up.
- DK Life Stories: Florence Nightingale. By Kitson Jazynka. 8-12 years.
- Florence Nightingale (Volume 74) (Little People, BIG DREAMS, 78). By María Isabel Sanchez Vegara. 2-8 years.
