Math to the Point was founded in October 2022. We are a small math organization whose main goal is to encourage our Houston community and neighboring cities to see mathematics as we do, a fun, interesting and accessible topic.

With that in mind we invite you to explore with us the variety of math activities that we offer. Come join us in one-on-one or group tutorials, math events, and our newly offered selection of in depth workshops.

We collaborate with other non-profit organizations, to share our explorations, and math enthusiasm with their community of outreach programs.

Owner, CEO and MathTeacher

Silvia Aldana

Silvia is an Applied Mathematician and Math Educator, with 20+ years of international teaching experience. She believes that through the exploration of mathematics learners nurture their individual creative and analytical skills. She is convinced that through the discoveries of math activities, we foster enthusiasm and joy for mathematics. When she is not teaching Calculus, or walking her dog, Luna, she is creating hands-on art/coding activities that model a math theorem or property.

Operations Manager

Kerry Polzin

With 25+ years in education, Kerry has worked with students from PK3 - 12th grade. As an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Coordinator, she has successfully supervised hundreds of IB DP graduates. Kerry uses her educational and business insight to improve experiences for all students. Her hobbies include genealogy, puzzles, crafting and recently origami.
