About the event
Magic Stars: A Fold, Flip, and Spin Geometry Adventure.
This stellar adventure transforms students into cosmic codebreakers as they master the Schläfli symbol to map out star polygons using "jump-rule" geometry. The journey continues with a bit of single-snip sorcery, where learners apply the One-Cut Theorem to reveal perfect stars from a single, strategic fold and cut. From there, we’ll move into the world of polygon dissections to create fun puzzles. Finally grounding our new skills by hunting for these celestial patterns in real-world architecture and nature—proving that math truly is written in the stars.
This is a pre-booked 1.5 hour field trip.
