Pop into Shape. HPL STEM Festival.

Step right up and explore the captivating world of bubbles! Have you ever wondered why bubbles are so smooth and round? In nature, surfaces naturally stretch and curve to take up space with minimal effort and no sharp edges—a secret trick mathematicians call surface area minimization.

Join us for a hands-on adventure where math meets creativity! Using special bubble puzzle tiles made from circular arcs, you’ll get to construct your very own artistic tessellations and curving designs. Whether you're an aspiring mathematician, an artist, or just curious about how nature designs the world, this interactive challenge is perfect for thinkers of all ages (8 and up). Come test your puzzle-solving skills and see geometry in a whole new light!
